Everything in our Humana thrift stores cost 2€ (1€ for kids’ stuff) today so me and auntie T went to see what we could get our paws on. I didn’t have a lot of time to browse because Ladybug was impatient (who could blame her?), but still found quite a few items. Thrift shopping is like a treasure hunt and who doesn’t love those, anyway? Sorry about the noisy pictures – the lighting is terrible, but if I hadn’t taken the photos now, they would probably never have hit the world wide web…Long sleeved turtleneck onesie –
Oh-so-cool camo sweatshirt (by a brand called Garanimals) for the little lady. I imagine her wearing this with her little Hilfiger jeans, her white Converse and a cool little ponytail. Cost
Cutest little patterned sweater with elbow patches from Name It.
I couldn’t leave this cool flannel lumberjack shirt (from Zara) behind. I wasn’t sure about it when it hung in the men’s department back at the store, but what’s not to be sure about? It’s great. I’ll definitely wear it a lot tucked in a pair of black skinny jeans or just tie it around the waist with a leather jacket.
I’m apparently a very decisive person, because I’m still not sure about this one either. But I guess if I pair this long tan blazer (H&M) with my knee-high brown boots, my beige quilted jacket and a brown tote, I’ll look as chic as ever. I think I’m going to replace the buttons with pretty, shiny golden ones, though.
12.99€ 2€The coziest long knit from Gina Tricot. It covers the butt so I’ll be warm and look cool and all that jazz. I’m extremely happy with this one! 9.99€ 2€
It’s hard to capture the cut and look of this top-thing on photo, but it looks pretty cool on. Great, light fabric and really cozy, loose fit. Glad I bought it! From BikBok,
Pants are always impossible to photograph, but these look better on, I swear. They’re a pair of super-slim and super-comfy skinny jeans from Only. They’re stretchy and make my butt look great. And they cost 2€ in stead of 7.99€. Hooray! Ladybug has a thing for plushies lately so she went ahead and grabbed six of them when she got to the toy department at the store, but finally placed all of those back on the shelf and chose this pink little cash register in stead (proud moment for mom!). I haven’t tried if it works yet (it appears to have a little screen and may beep and light up if I feed it some batteries), but she loves playing with it regardless. Don’t know what they would’ve asked for it any other day of the week (probably about 5-10€), but we scored it for 1€.
Am I the only one who’s crazy about thrift shopping? Does anyone else get an adrenaline rush from spotting all sorts of treasures in second hand shops? What’s your latest second hand catch? Tell me!
