1 Mexx “Lovesome // 2 Clean “Warm Cotton” // 3 Juicy Couture “Viva la Juicy” // 4 Escada “Magnetism” // 5 Chanel “Mademoiselle” // 6 Escada “Sexy Graffiti” // 7 Versace “Crystal Noir” // 8 Nina Ricci “Fantasy”
Not only do I suffer from a classic case of goo hoarding, I also love collecting perfumes. I like to choose a different scent for every occasion, outfit and mood. Sometimes I feel like not wearing make-up and throwing on a casual outfit, so I either wear Clean “Warm cotton” or Mexx “Lovesome”, because they’re fresh (especially the first one) and young. When I feel I want to be preppy and sophisticated, Chanel’s “Coco Mademoiselle” works perfectly. The Escadas (especially “Sexy Graffiti”, it’s my latest favorite), Juicy Couture’s “Viva la Juicy” and Nina Ricci’s “Fantasy” are rich and fruity perfumes, I wear those when I dress up, put my make up on and feel all gussied up and sexy. The black crystal by Versace has been my signature perfume (someone borrows your scarf and goes “hey, this smells exactly like you!”) for ages now and it suits any occasion. It’s very feminine, intense and unlike its successor “Bright Crystal”, it actually smells really-really good.
The next ones I’d like to add to the collection are Joop! “All about Eve” (I just remembered that one from my early teens, it’s an amazingly fresh apple-infused scent), Viktor & Rolf’s “Flowerbomb”, Calvin Klein’s “Euphoria” and Lancôme’s “Hypnôse”. One could ask what I do with several gallons of perfume, but I have never really owned a bottle of perfume that’s gone bad – I just finish them all up.
If you’ve got any questions about the perfumes I listed – shoot! Do you use any of the ones I mentioned and do you just stick to one signature perfume or do you also like to have several to choose from?
